The Northern Conference (South Africa) has rolled out an evangelistic program under the theme "Gauteng for Christ" The program was initially launched in Pretoria in 2017 where leaders from all churches were invited. The SID Personal Ministries and Sabbath School President Pastor M. Ngwaru was one of the key speakers at this event. All churches have been called to take part in this program. On Sabbath 12 August 2017, “Gauteng for Christ 2018” (GFC) was launched at Pretoria Show Grounds. Between 10,000 – 11, 000 members from SID, SAUC and the two Conferences were there. SID President (Dr Maphosa) preached the main message, reminding us that we are called to serve. Pastor Reyneke emphasized the need for us to reach out to our surrounding communities, becoming centres of influence. The only method to be used is Christ’s Method: “FEED THEM THEN BID THEM FOLLOW ME.” A Special Item of music was rendered by a Deaf Choir. Booths promoted various departments of the church, showing how to be involved in GFC 2018. People are excited to share God’s word with those who are receptive. One member commented: “The programme as a whole was awe inspiring and of the highest standard, expressing dedication and respect for the Lord.” All praise goes to God above.
